Any good ideas to ask for as a Xmas gift?
For performance! Nothing crazy expensive? Not sure what to ask for from the gf. Already have exhaust and CAI and already considering a programmer (that I will probably buy myself)

Theres not really anything cheap performance wise. The lowest things I can think of are around $100.
Coolant Filter Kit CCV Mod Thats all I can think of right off the top of my head |

Edge Insight with egt probe. Keep an eye on your vitals before you tune it... Go SCT after that...

you could always get diesel sites intercooler boots, they dont seep oil and dont crack under stress and age, depending on what model year truck you have the one is like 130 bucks and the lower straight boots are like 70 bucks. good investement imho but not a necessity

Is gearhead a vendor here? Or what is his contact info? Last edited by mad103; 11-29-2010 at 11:25 AM. |

Matt at Gearhead automotive performance is on here but not a supporter. He supports powerstrokenation.com. but he tunes for both studded and non studded trucks. if you go to his website he's got dyno sheets on there. It is sapposely one of the safest and fastest tunes you can buy. The SRL produces good mpgs, performance, and uses lower compression than stock for less ware on your heads. If you email him, you can talk to him and buy his tunes from him, and pay through paypal. As far as egt's, everyone says to get a egt gauge atleast and also so does matt. BUt i dont have one, and dont plan on getting one. Yes it will run up the egt's but whats the point of a gauge. If you floor it and it runs 15oo degrees, its going to run 1500 degress whether you have a guage or not, right?! I think its more of eye candy than anything. Your going to run the truck how you like anyways, and i feel theres no need to watch something that is innevitable. Just my two cents. Good luck.
