SCT X3 Won't Return My Stock Tune

I Bought a SCT X3 off of a guy on here a couple days ago and just got it today. It had tunes on it so i tried to load one onto my truck. It download my stock tune fine and then tried to load the new tune on and encountered an error. now I can't get it to return the stock tune so my truck won't start (obviously) I went and copied the stock tune onto my computer desktop to make sure i still have but from what i read i have to have SCT put the stock file back on my X3??? Now my SCT say the device is "Married" but does not read a strategy, is there anyone who can fix this or do i have to wait until monday to try and get a hold of SCT???

was it a custom tune or a canned tune?

It was a canned tune i believe.

I had this same thing happen a few months ago. SCT Tech support had to build me a new stock program. Somehow the stock program saved on the device was corrupted so I couldn't download back to stock.

Once they build a new file for you they normally remote to your machine and load the new program on your device.

Hopefully you'll have this fixed soon...

will they be able to force the removal of the tune that started going into the truck before the error occured???

Just give us a call and we can get you all taken care of. The only way to get the tunes off the device is for a SCT dealer to make new tunes for the truck and load them onto the device and that is how you get the tunes off the unit.
