Custom Tune for a stock truck

I am now the proud owner of a SCT Livewire thanks to a member of this forum.....

Anyways, the main reason I wanted a tuner is because I did a EGR delete and now I have the wonderful "no flow" and limp mode. I don't think a performance tune would be wise because I am on stock head gaskets/bolts with almost 240,000 miles; however I might be interested in a "mild" tune unless that isn't a good idea. So would that be a bad idea? Who would be the best to write the tune? Thanks!
