Paddle Shifters?

This is a pretty ridiculous concept, but I am in the process of buying a sports car with Paddle Shifters and I love them. As I continue to upgrade the power plant of my 6.0 I cant help thinking how it might drive with paddle shifters, that could hold boost between shifts. Has anyone thought about this? Anything is possible...
