Do you have a powermax and 190s???

If you have the powermax and 190cc injectors I would like you opinions on tuning?

Who's tunes do you run? What type of EGTs are you seeing? Any complaints??

Almost done with my head gaskets. Taking my time...prolly too much time, but I am in no rush....

I got my 190's and powermax up and running.

I've noticed higher egt, about 75-100 degrees
Lower boost psi but more power. Power max goes as good as stock '03 turbo at 20-22. While stock maxed at 28-30

Lots of smoke. Running Eric's mild tow, x street, and xrace. Xstreet smokes less unless you get on it. But egt get hot fast.

Tow tune is very nice. But to smokey. I suppose every truck is a little different. Eric is tweaking the tunes for less smoke. I won't be washing the truck until then . Back end by tailpipe looks like a coal mine.

Truck idles bit higher with 190s.

Got oil change done a week after the install. Put in some Revx. Seems to run a bit smoother. Also sinister diesel rr kit and airdogii made a big difference. Truck got quieter when idling.

FYI Eric at Innovative has been very helpful and patient with a diesel newbie like me.

I was wondering if the zoodad mod would help get more cooler air to keep egt down?

I'm running that setup. I run matt's tunes and Eric's tunes. I've ran matt's tunes before my build and they ran great, after he sent me a updated tune it hasn't shifted right at all , when I get on it hard it slams into gear and sometimes won't shift. But that is only when I'm on it hard with I don't do on the street that often so I run it as my street tune. Eric's tunes were spot on the first time I got them and I ran the 13.107 with his race tune. I know rescue has had good luck with matt's tunes so maybe it's just my truck. My egts with matt's tune run about 700-800 running 70. On the track I can see 1700. Pulled one horse with a 16' and temps ran about 900 running 65 when I pulled a hill it would get up to 1250 but nothing I couldn't handle.

once you get past 40mph you will probably start to see lower egt's
