Gettin new exhaust. Opinions?
Alright, I'm gonna get rid of my straight piped single stack and go with a normal tail exit single exhaust. I'm lookin at MBRP, which one would I be better off with? I want the cat delete but not sure bout the muffler. Does the muffler delete give much extra power? Plus, does the aluminum make a difference from the Stainless? Any info would be appreciated. Thanx

Biggest thing to consider when deciding between stainless and aluminum is corrosion. I've lived in the southern half of the US with no road salt and my aluminum Diamond Eye has held up like a champ. Being from OR, you might not be able to say the same. Aluminum is generally cheaper as well. I paid $298 for my setup delivered to the door.

Muffler delete is for sound only, you will see no increase in performance, and I'd say no DEcrease in EGT's either (over an after market muffler like the MBRP)
So NO........ no power increase. And I'd suggest stainless steel. AluminIZED is cheaper, but SS will look better and far outlast the AluminIZED. And rockfish........... have you checked out the WA/ OR chapter?......... The Cascade Coal Rollers |

i would def go straight piped... AL will last longer than SS.. so if you live in an area that has road salt i recommend SS.. if not you will be good with AL..
if you need any prices let me know -Raul |

There have been a few get togethers that went well. I just moved down here this July, so I've only made one GTG so far. It's a good group of guys though.
You should check it out, looks like the next big meet is prob not gonna be until the weather swings back around though, so spring / early summer. The Cascade Coal Rollers - Ford Powerstroke Diesel Forum |
