Banks Brake

I just purchased a 05 6 liter, I was wondering if any of you have used the Banks brake? If so is it worth the money or would you recomend other exhuast brake options. Thanks

Just get an SCT with custom tuning that can incorporate the exhaust brake when towing. I literally just got done installing a Banks Brake on an 01 today. Pretty big job and I don't think it's that strong. I think they have the speed brake for yours but they are high $$. The Banks brake is anywhere from $1200-$1600

Could but you could return it to stock if you had to have warranty work done. In all honesty, they could void your warranty with the installation of the Banks Brake as well if they wanted to. Problem is, they have to be able to prove that the SCT or Banks Brake is what caused the failure of any covered part.

You are correct, there is a fine line to what is warrantable and not, thanks for your input.

Well I looked into the Banks Brake a little further and found it is only around $500. I am not looking for a power addition just looking to slow down better, the SCT would be nice but I know me and I would push truck to its breaking point. So if anyone has run the banks brake, has heard any problems with it or praise please let me know.

Speeking of Banks! My 04 F250 has the six-gun, speed loader, technicoller, highram intake, and banks turbo back exhaust. All were on the turck when I bought it almost a year ago. I think the six gun module is bad. Would it be worth replacing or just going with the custom tunes everyone keeps talking about?

SCT with custom tunes. I had the 6 Gun, you'll be a lot happier with SCT.
