Head Studs

Looking at buying a 2006 F350 with a 6.0 and if I do buy it I am going to fix the typical problems before they happen (head studs, EGR delete, etc). How many hours has it taken to do head studs for those of you that have done it yourself? Do you do gaskets as well?

I live near Mike Hallas Performance and he said he will do head studs, gaskets, EGR delete, improved oil cooler, clean the turbo, etc for $3100 including parts and labor with a 2 day turnaround. Is it even worth me touching it for that price?

You do gaskets when you do studs. The project can vary on time depending on skill level and issues you run into along the way. I ran into my heads being trashed thats an extra 2k give or take depending what kind of deal you get but thats just an example of something to possibly consider being an issue. But that sounds like a fair deal with parts and labor. Good luck and welcome.
