clear the codes and see if they come back

i did and they did.

Are the tunes from before the delete or after?

the tunes were written for the delete. the cel does not come on like it did before the delete and tune. i hooked up the egr and just layed it on top and no codes today. will unhook and see what happens now.

unhooked the egr and the codes cam back. plugged in back in and no codes. guess i will leave it plugged in and laying on top of the engine.
does anyone elses tunes allow this? |

I have mine just laying on the engine. I have the "egr off" option checked in the SCT, but have never tried without the egr plugged in. Just leave it on the motor and if you have to get it inspected jam it back in.

i wont ever be inspected but i thought with custom tunes written for an egr delete the computer would not look for it. i do notice a difference in performance when it is plugged in and when its not and i get the codes.

Depending on the strategy your truck is running, you may get a soft code, you may get a CEL, you may get a limp mode. You seem to be getting all but the CEL, so zip-tie the valve down and enjoy the truck.
