What does "Reflash" mean?

Ok...

I've read it on here several times now, but I can't figure out what it is.

What does the term "reflash" mean?
Why do you have it done?

Can someone please fill me in?

A reflash is when the dealer reprograms your PCM with an update. on the 6.0 there were a few recent ones for the injector cycles

how do I find out if I need this done? does it cost anything? I have an 06 6.0 that I bought in December 05.

The cost depends on the dealer some do it free if its in for warranty work the easiet way to find out if you have the latest one is look under the hood the PCM code is usually on the PCM Post the code here or call a dealer to see if its the newest one.
