Trade or mod?
I have a 03 F250 With 85000 Miles on it. I have had no trouble at all out of it. I went by the dealership and there is a local trade 04 F350 62000 Miles. The truck has some kind of edge chip and a 2 year 24,000 Mile warranty on it. They want 25,995. I am getting ready to go see what they will give me on trade for my truck in just a couple minutes.
On the other hand i was thinking that i could just save some money and just get an sct for my truck. And if it would blow head gaskets i could get it studded with the money saved. What do you guys think. The warranty would be nice. If i do go with an sct who has the best tunes? And how long do you think my gaskets will last after installing the programmer. Thanks

Why would you do that. It's basically the same truck. I might see it for an 05-07 but not an 04. Keep your truck and fix it up. EGR delete, ELC coolant, Edge Insight, SCT and tunes. Eric at Innovative Diesel and Matt at Gearhead Automotive Performance both write nice tunes. There are others of course.

He is gonna offer you 12k-14k in for your truck if you are lucky. probably closer to 10k

Yeah, I wouldn't trade that truck for the '04 even if they paid me. Especially after the Edge.

Well i think im going to go with the sct xcal. anyone have a number so i can get a hold of eric or matt. I'd like to talk over the phone before ordering.

i just got matts, srl (street race light) tune. its safer for trucks that dont have head studs yet, and the power is AMAZING
