Exhaust Tip Placement?

I just installed an MBRP 4" Exhaust on my 06. Install went well. Truck runs and sounds great. My question is about the 5" tip.

I tried to get it tucked up nice and tight with the body, as well as having it straight up and down, but I'm not sure how far is should stick out. Might be hard to tell from the pics, but the furthest point is sticking out just a little bit farther than the tires, which is about where the stock tip was.

Stock tip was straight cut and at a right angle to the truck, the new tip is slash cut and at a 45 degree angle to the truck -- so not much for me to go on other than eyeballing it.

Is this pretty much where everyone runs them? Any suggestions?

I'd tuck it in under the fender about another 4-5". That's just me though.

Thanks guys!

Maybe my pictures are bad, I think I have it pretty much in the stock location and was actually getting used to it there. In fact, I think the tip could actually only go onto the pipe another few inches before it started sticking out the end of the tip!

Can you post some pics of your setups for me so I can get a better idea of what yours look like?

Get the sawzall out! I cut about 5" off mine so I could keep the tip in real close to the body.

Heres the only exhaust pic i had on my computer, and im not goin outside its 37 out.
