So I got in new intake installed....thanks to MrPlowTurbo for a nice product....ran into a problem I figured out...my Mass airflow sensor didnt seat right....so I made a gasket for it to set in to seal up, easy to do....now my question. The battery box side of the air box has a huge hole....how does it make sense to want to pull outside air thats colder than underhood, yet have a big hole under the hood? I've looked at others and they are the same way....just doesnt make sense to me. Did the Zoodad while I was at it

That hole is to keep your battery terminals clean
