SCT QUESTIONS
Okay so i got an SCT SF3 and plugged it up the other night and loaded the pre programmed performance tune on with the egr valve turned off on my 05 6 speed. When i am just cruising at a constant throttle and i lay into it it takes a few seconds to really seems like the power and fuel kick in and it blows almost no smoke, but in the same situation if i let off the throttle for a second and then get right back on it down to the floor it dumps the fuel to it and spools up and takes off with little hestitation. Is this how the tunes usually work? i don't see what would cause the difference in the 2? How do Custom tunes compare to the SCT canned tunes? and also i've noticed when programming my truck it downloads a tranny tune, this may be a stupid question but is it supposed to load a tranny tune onto a 6 speed truck? Thanks for any Input.

As far as the custom vs. canned tunes, I've only run custom tunes, so not too sure on that one.
When I upload tunes on mine, it does the same with the trans. It didn't really make any sense to me either... I am my own shift points and firmness...  By the way... I like your truck man!!! Gotta love fellow regular cab 6 speeds

 My truck looks fifferent not then whats in my sig. i painted the rings on the rims black and put a black toolbox on it. you'd never believe how much different it looks

That's funny... I was thinking of doing the same thing. It's a good thing you're not in FL, or I'm not in VA, cause we'd be drivin' the same trucks...

It looks great man if you need ideas you can pm me your cell and i can send you pics. but my friend actually just got an 07 reg cab 6 spd exactly like ours, only difference is it's silver.

The trans tuning is just part of the SCT process, it isn't really doing anything on YOUR truck since you don't have a trans computer, except you
