Give me your thoughts on porting heads is it a waste of money

Alright guys i still cannt make my mind up on having my heads ported or not. I found a guy by me who hand ports heads and is big into drag racing and he claims i should pick up 75-95hp he also matches them to the intake manifold and the exhaust manifold. His price is $2000, and my plan is to get the gogo diesel intake manifold and the black widow exhaust manifold or a set of tubular headers to get the most out of my heads. So what do you guys think is it worth spending $4500 for all of those mods. Everything i have done to my truck is in my sig.

IDK if you will get 90HP but if you are trying to make serious power why not. It will make the entire setup more efficient.

yea after i thought about it more, i think im goin to wait on porting the heads, and prob wait on getting the headers to. i plan on doing compounds and bigger injectors, and hopefully finding a short block to build up to the max down the road. I am going to get that intake though, the cheapest i found was 1200 do you guys know any where else i can get it cheaper.

If you're going with Doug's manifold, it would be required to have ported head to get the full benefit out of the manifold.

I would really like to do it but not for that much money that elite charges. I would also like to get the stage 1 valvetrain from them but same reason.
