Thats a good thing as well. Did they reflash your PCM? What Viv was saying in her original post is that if you dont unlock it. When you go to return to stock it copies the old stock file back onto the PCM. If you were to unlock the unit using liveload it saves the new stock file

no she means unlocking your xcal through the live load software. there is a bottun that gives you the option of unlocking the xcal. from what I understand, what that does is allows you to upload tunes for your truck when it gets reflashed with a different strategy from ford. if you don't your new tunes will be running off your old pcm strategy.

atleast this is how I think it is. I could be wrong though.

Hi,

I was just cleaning out my email and had set this thread on auto notification. Unlocking you box after a reflash applies only to the Xcal2. My original post is very old and at the time did not need specifying but to avoid any confusion I changed the title to reflect Xcal2.

I would also like to clarify that we did not go out of business. We have suspended sales. We have been giving our customers tuning support and answering emails starting from the oldest. Perhaps not with the speed with which we used to reply but everything will be answered. If you sent us an email in August or later, we are going in email order.

Thank you. I hope everyone is having a wonderful day and I wish the happiest of holidays to you and yours!
Vivian
