s&b intakes...any good?
Okay I know everyone on here is going to post "factory intakes are good to 500 hp don't waste your time" that's not the question I'm asking, there has to be some benefit from an aftermarket intake, I really like the s&b, my question to anyone running them is is there any drop in egts? Any performance gains at all? And also what would be better, going with a dry filter or the reusable oiled one? I personally like the dry option. Thanks

I have an S&B intake. Heared everyone say the 500hp thing, but went ahead and got it. Seems to spool quicker, turbo sounds different than before, and seems to run a little cooler. Might be just me. Im happy with it.

I ran a S&B on my 05 6.0 and i'm running one on my 08 6.4 and i like them a lot. I personally would rather flow a little more air and not have to put up with the stock filters so I get a CAI. They say a stock one can flow 500hp but IMO i would prefer to get an aftermarket air filter set up

+1 for the S&B. Throttle response and quicker spool up were noticed right away after I installed mine.

Also, agree on the excellent fit and easy removable compared to the little b*tch of a stock filter. I got tired of fighting with it for 20 mins.

X3 I found mine used on craiglist, very easy to clean unlike the stocker
