Unplugging EGR/what do I unplug
Well I am new to the whole new 6.0 motors so I dont know much about the EGRs and want to unplug mine but dont know what to unplug. Ya I know stupid question but I dont want to take any chances. I looked all over on the internet on info on the EGRs but never actually found what to unplug. Any help would be great if someone could take a pic that would be perfect.

![]() See the black sensor in front of the oil filter. Unplug the wire harness. But if you have the most recent flash from ford and are not custom tuned leave it plugged in |

What year is your truck? Has it been to ford for anything over the last year or so

Here's a pic of mine. It's right in between the alternator and the oil and fuel filters. Mine is pulled out, since I have an EGR delete, but you get the general idea of where it's at.

From the 2 pics this is what I come up with
Pardon my stupidity this is the first EGR crap I have had on a vehicle and still trying to learn about the 6.0 motor. Also I read most 03-04 wont throw a cel if unplugged and from the oasis report truck hasnt been to ford in a couple years.

Nah man, it's the black cylinder that has wires running out the top. There is a plug that connects to the top of the valve and just unclip it and pull it out.

Ok lets see if I got it right this time
I can just unplug it and just tape both ends up to keep water out and call it good?
