Monitoring the vitals-Gauges or Electronics?

I've been building performance cars for about ten years so I'm more than aware of the importance of knowing whats going on with your engine. However, I've never used any electronics in replace of my bunches and bunches of gauges, but with the truck I think I want the cleaner look of one unit monitoring most of my vitals. I would just like to get everybody's opinions about the accurancy of the electronics and which ones offer the best monitoring options for things like EGT, EOC, ECT, Oil press and the so on with out having to cycle through several screens.

So what are you using to monitor and how do you like it? If you've had bad luck with an electronic one, I want to hear about that as well.

Edge Insight or the ne Insight CS or CST or a Dashdaq will all do what you want. They are seeing the exact same data the computer sees. On these trucks I think they are great. I'm real happy with mine.

Edge Insight will do everything you need, but you will have to get a fuel pressure gauge i went with AutoMeter and get a coolent filter ASAP.

^^^^Already ordered will be here Tuesday. Thanks for the input on the insight. I guess my only question with that is, what will it not monitor? Unfortunarely, even the edge website doesn't say what is and isn't monitered. Also, is the installation as easy as plug it into your OBDII plug?

I was referring to the coolant filter that I already ordered. I haven't ordered the insight, but thanks for the additional info.

The 3 things that are nice to know that the Insight won't do because there are no sensors on the truck to provide the information are fuel pressure, and oil pressure for both the hi and low pressure systems. I use Autometer GS series gauges for those.

I use a dashdaq in mine to keep track of everything in my truck. Except for the EGT's. I actually installed a gauge for that one. Theres times when i forget to get my dashdaq before i go to work so atleast i know i have my egt's covered. The edge insight has been getting awesome reviews!! Thats one that you should probably lean towards.
