would i be wise to install new head gaskets and studs prior to installing a sct tuner? Or what would you do to a truck before you installed a custom tunes

I waited until I had studded my engine before running a tuner. You will find that many folks are running tuned without any problems on the stock head bolts. It's really your choice.

I don't have studs but I did wait until I did the EGR delete. Not the most fun in the world to do but worth doing if you are in a state that you can get away with it.
