Am I crazy?
So last night i installed my new MBRP 4" Turbo back(Thank you very much Cobbs Diesel) Before i had that on there i had the stock exhaust with 4" muffler and cat delete. I installed the exhaust and drove around for a bit and then drove the truck to work this morning. The whistle is Great! And i dunno if i'm crazy but now i don't seem to have that growl in higher RPMs and the truck feels slower to me?
Is this Possible or what? When i was mounting the down pipe to the first section under the truck my friend stripped the clamp so that only got tightened down a little till i can get a new clamp and it's still kinda loose and i believe is leaking. But i wouldn't think it'd cause the truck to be slower? So tell me if i'm crazy or what's going on. Thank you for your help!

First off, I can't believe you got your product from Cobb's, they've got a bad rep from what I've heard. Second, the growl should be alot louder. Does it have a muffler on it? I have the same system with no cat or muff and when I'm at high rpm's its the loudest. I wouldn't think itd be slower either. Maybe a bad fuel filter or a clogged EGR?

Cobbs Did me right and that's all that matters to me, And Maybe it's just a different growl that i'm used to
but i can't seem to figure out why it feels slower?

With a larger downpipe the you will loose a little power on the low end, I noticed the same thing.
Now, I wished I would have kept my stock DP. |

you prolly lost a little back pressure going to 4in. My sct took care of that.

Thanks Choctaw, Does it help out on top end though?
And red, Did you install an exhaust before you had the custom tunes on and had the same problem, then when you custom tuned it it fixed it? |
