You can do the tuner by itself SCT X3 Custom Innovative Diesel Tunning .

But We highly recommend the tuner with a set of gauges to keep track of all the vitals!! SCT X3 Custom Innovative Diesel Tunning/ Gauge Combo Kit

When you order the tune, just let us know what all is done to the truck and you'll get set up my friend!! Any questions just PM me.

Yup, the X3 is all you need with some custom tunes. I highly recommend the Edge Insight or Insight CS for monitoring.

abso-frickin-lutely

The Livewire is a different beast, kind of. It does has guages in it, but no EGT probe that I know of (which is a must). Its also big, so people opt for the X3

the livewire is huge and kinda dificult to find a "good" spot for it. i have the live wire with custom tunes and stock studs and head gaskets. the livewire you have to buy the egt kit for it to monitor egt. the gauges are alright. they get the job done but like i said, its just difficult to find a place for it because its bulky. but i love my sct and tunes. except for size of livewire but besides that awesome

I love my livewire too and I don't mind the space for it just put it on the windshield in the bottom left corner and run the wire under the dash to the OBD port and it's good to go
