Insight , What can I expect ?

I have a 2005 F250. I am considering purchasing an Edge Insight cs. I am expecting to monitor EOT , ECT, Trans Temp at a minimum. Is this correct? Yeah I know , call Edge . lol . However, I'm interested in what members have experienced first hand.

Many of our customers have loved theirs!! If i didnt have a dashdaq i would pick one of these bad boys up!!! The built in egt monitor is a keypoint for me! Check'em out.

To answer your question, yes. You can monitor those, but in addition you should make sure u get the egt probe option if u can. I run those four read outs

Where is Edge at relative to firmware that allows viewing EOT, ECT, Trans temp for their CTS ? I have bee reading that customers are experiencing less than ideal results. Specifically , it appears to be hit and miss whether the firmware allows viewing of full OBDII available data in , for example , my 2005. Resulting in the consumer having to call Edge for downloads.
Is this correct or ancient history ?


I'd prefer a CTS over the CS however, I dont want the hassle and I want to monitor the above temps or I'll be disappointed.

The CS and CTS can both monitor the same things so if you want the CTS get it. You should have no problem monitoring anything on your truck. I believe the only issues are with the '03 and '04 trucks and that issue is being worked on. I absolutely love my CS.

I have a CS and love it .. I've read the same thing about the CTS .. if they havn't fixed them yet .. I'm sure you can order a fixed one by now ... and this is rare ..

I ordered the CS because it came with the EGT senser and the dashpod .. I think they are extras with the CTS (atleast thats what the guy on the phone told me) .. but if I'm wrong I'm sure someone will chime in
