Exhaust - Aluminized or Stainless?
Need to order exhaust for the truck. Going to go with a MBRP 4" Turbo Back. I'm going to run a muffler but no cat.
My question is...should I order aluminized or stainless? If the answer is stainless...T409 or T304($$$$)? I want it to last, but also dont want to break the bank doing it. Pics would be great if you have them. |

i doubt you will ever need SS in TX... i would go with the aluminzed off-road kit.. that kit will have no cat but will have a muffler...
if you need a price let me know.. ill hook you up -Raul |

i think u should be fine with the aluminized, i would only put stainless if i lived in a area where they put salt on the roads(snowy area) or if i was around saltwater all the time

Well I am right on the gulf coast, about 30 min from the gulf. That's why I wasn't sure.

I got the MBRP 4" Turbo Back in the T409 without cat but with the muffler I am happy with the sound and durability. Here are a couple of pics had it on there for 3 years with a good amount of snow and salt last year around here. I also drive on the beach often.

IMHO, I'd go with the 409 stainless. Do it right the first time rather than look back and wish you would have spent some extra money to get what you wanted / needed. I have the MBRP 4" turbo back 409 stainless and have had it for the past 5 years (and 120k miles). Couldn't be happier with the quality or the sound. A good friend bought the 304 stainless and was disappointed because it wasn't as blingy as he thought it would be. He's wishing he saved the money and bought the 409. The 409 seems like a nice compromise between the aluminized and the 304.

Aluminized. That's the same kit I used. Been on the truck over 1-1/2 years now and no rust at all to show for it. Save your money over stainless and do something else with it, IMHO.
