No smoke?

I bought a predator programmer for my truck and had it for a few days before i took it back. I have a 4in turbo back exhaust, k&n intake. But with the programmer on at 100% it never realy dumped black smoke, only a little from a dead stop. Im just a little confused because my friends got a programmer on his and its rediculious how much smoke it puts out. Im just curious why mine didnt?

your friend has the same exact programmer and same year truck? either way i wouldnt install that tuner on your truck... only way to go on a 6.0L is custom tuned SCT x3 and a set of gauges...

And blowing tons of black smoke isn't cool either. We get enough of a bad rap for our diesels without that.

Custom tunes is the way to go.

The reason it probably didn't smoke is because one the tuner you had installed, and two you have a intake and exhaust. Your sucking and pushing more air...with the diesel that is being injected its all being used

recommendations for you....
lose the K&N filter, ether stock or another filter
Get a SCT with something to watch temps
and stop worrying who blows more smoke, smoke does not equal power period.

i have had a k&n stage 2 intake on my truck for over 4 years never had a problem with it but thats just my 2 cents but a sct with custom tunes is the way to go on a 6.0 and if your lookin for some smoke a custom tune will do it it wont blow alot going down the road and gettin on it cause its not desinged to do that its made for clean power but from a stop it will leave a cloud then just hazz out cause all the fuel going to it from a stop
