Twin Turbos? Anyone got em?
Im just wondering, I am either doing the cummins swap, or shooting for the infamous and very small 1,000 h.p 6.0L club.

I hope you have just stumble upon a sum of money larger than $50,000! There are a few guys running them but it looks to get really expensive really fast.
Have you thought of exchanging your PPE for a SCT with custom tunes? Thats a less expensive way to make some more power |

![]() ![]() ... Sorry man. Not saying it can't be done, but I am saying that's a very bold statement to be making. I know some of the few that have done it. It's a long road with a lot of money spent, a lot of parts broken, a lot of things tried and failed, and a lot of headache. If you're good or lucky enough to get there then it's a great feeling indeed, but you're still going to pay dearly to play.

My turn, 15k isnt enough I can tell you that right now. Ive went down this road already, and plan on building on my own in the near future with a few ppls help. Here's a basic idea.
Rods 2500-4000 your stock rods aint gonna hold to well at 1000hp. Injectors 2500-3500 depending who you go with and what size they are. Fuel systems 500-1000 also depending how you plan on setting it up. Turbo kits range 7000-10,000 as a daily driver your gonna spend money. Intake manifold this I'd look into Doug's at GoGo 1200 for better flow the back cylinders will starve. Transmission 5000 for a fully built, the working internally. Thats most of the basic parts, none of which include labor in doing the work, cost of core charges, your stock pistons will only hold so much as well. Then you'll need to look into harden valve seats, valve springs, heads, cams, hhmmm what else. Unless you can do all the work yourself, and have money when it breaks and tear down the motor I wouldnt step into this realm. Sorry for the negativity but its facts. Forgot to add and to do a good clean cummins swap with performance parts uh your looking at 20k plus. Last edited by RescueF250; 08-30-2010 at 05:53 PM. |

Crunchtime you should make some more friends to do this in a timely manner with labor and enough money to do the parts and research

Studs $3000-$2000 including labor Valvetrain ~$3000 Tunning.... no idea... Meth $1000 High Pressure system $1000-$1500 would the connecting rods (not push rods) and pistons hold up??? would the block hold up with that much power???? here is another place that I know of that does twins.
