Ok guys, I have spent this eveing doing some reading up on everyone's programmers and what to use and not to use but the majority seemed to be behind an auto. I am tossed up between a few listed below. I would like to know which one you would suggest and why. I just got the 6.0 with 86k bone stock with a 6speed.

The SCT is the best for the 6.0's
A Banks or Edge will eat you tranny!!!!!!!!! Eric works for Innovative Diesel Performance and is one of the best tuners. I also like Matt's tunes from Gearhead performance. |

SCT is the only way to go for a 6.0. Banks likes to eat heads. I know of a tech who has replaced 13 sets of cracked heads due to Banks programming.

Thanks for the heads up. I am looking into the SCT Livewire with some tunes from Eric. I'm pretty sure I'll be solid with the manual on the trans side of things (maybe a clutch down the road).
Does Eric have a name on this forum? |

He goes by InnovativeDiesel. His forum is here: Innovative Diesel Performance - Ford Powerstroke Diesel Forum

This has gone all too quick, pulling my strategy code tomorrow, the Livewire is on it's way to the house now and I will upload Eric's tunes when I get back into town. Looking forward to feeling the new found power.

Your truck is bone stock as you stated. Be very careful with programming as you blow the head on you 6 oh. I would install some gauges to monitor your systems and you'll definitely have to put ARP head studs in as increased pressure from programming blows the heads. Programmers are fun, just proceed with caution or it will become costly. Enjoy.

I went SCT Livewire which is a headup display along with the EGT kit so I can monitor that side of things. Eric's tunes have been in place since 03 with the 6.0's and seems like the headgaskets are hit or miss with most. Luckily I am a mechanic, brother is a Cat heavy equipment tech so we'll go big or go home!
