Question Removal of factory exhaust WITHOUT cutting?

OK, so tomorrow I install my new 5" Diamond Eye system *EXCITED!*. I'd like to preserve the OEM exhaust if possible. Can this be done?

Sure. It's a whole lot easier to just cut the downpipe in two tho. If I remember right you just need to support the tranny with a jack while you remove the tranny crossmember. That should give you the room to get the downpipe out intact.

+1. The tranny crossmember is the obstruction. Take it out and the exhaust system will come right out.

As stated, you have to remove the tranny crossmember to get the factory exhaust out in one piece. To me, that's way too much effort and we busted out the plasma cutter.
