Garrett Powermax!! Rescue250 posted a 550+ dyno run using Cass 190's....

You probably wont hit 600 without some nitrous honestly, and your trans definitly wont hold up if you want those numbers and to tow as well. With the powermax you'll be able to break 500 hp easy and driveability is good as well. 64mm non-vgt is good but you'll have some dead spot once you shift into overdrive. I ran a 64mm non-vgt, if you want a non-vgt then a 62mm will be good for driving as well. Wont completely clean up your 190's but it will be streetable over the 64mm. The price for a powermax is 1250 I believe which is good as well.

like Kevin said a 64mm non vgt will not be the best. it can be done and it has been done. I ran 190s with an industrial 62/65/70 internally gated. very streetable and towed great. if you are looking to go bigger then 62 your going to be much happier with a larger vgt. powermax or any of elites turbos are good if you want more. powermax is good, cheap and no core needed. also comes from new parts. if you really are sold on a non vgt I have one for sale.

another vote for the powermax. I have two and love them both one with casserly 190cc but only ran alittle before i had a little problem and have to pull one of the injectors but ive had the turbo with stock sticks since feb.

i think im going to go with elites vgt-ssx turbo a bit up there on the price but looks goood to me and reviews are also good from what ive read

ssx is less turbo then the powermax iirc. powermax is ~ 1200 $ and you keep your stock turbo

powermax- Inducer 63.7mm / Exducer 88mm SSX-Inducer 64.7mm/Exducer 94mm BUT Powermax- new turbo- $1099 shipped - no core SSX- remanufactured turbo- $2550 + $700 core |

I have the ssx and elites 185s. It is fine empty, but not loaded. I pull a 6k camper and a 6k enclosed trailer. You have to know how to drive to keep it spooled. I have not had good luck with my prior versions. This one is holding together right now though. HTH

The cheapest I have seen them is $1250. How do you think it would do on a 12,000 lds truck that is a DD with stock sticks? I also tow a dump trailer that is rated for another 10,000. |
