Question on IDP x race

Im getting ready for Scheid next weekend and was wondering you any of you thought i should run the x race tune.. but i have some questions on it
First: is it suppose to shift firm and do any of yalls trucks do a jerk when it shifts and locks the tq?
Second: doese it hurt or help the trans.. Im still running a stock tranny and tq?

I run my x-race as a daily driver. It's awesome but you have to get use to the shifting. It does shift firmer but not neck snapping. My only complaint is when you have the cruise set and tap the brake to disengage it seems to jerk more than I like. I actually just speed up a little now and turn the cruise off with the switch to avoid the jerking.

Thanks for the info.... Im just wondering if its a better judgement to leave my x street since finaly the truck is getting better mpg andsince I'm going to Scheid this weekend.. Idk what im going todo yet.

^^^^ Ditto - Plus TONS of smoke and diminished tire longetivity!

I don't think mine shifts bad at all on my 07 unless you're holding it to the floor.

I just wanted to see what it would act like since I normally have to have it on x-street since I'm normally towing the race trailer.. I went ahead and changed it to the x race tune so far it is fun

How much difference in performance

i cant tell that much of a differance power wise but i can tell how the trans puts the power to the ground thats the big difference that i feel...i like how when you put the truck on cruise it goes straightin OD and stays there and when you get on it... she smokes alot
