exhaust questions
I've heard that strait piping the 6.0 will have a negative effect on MPG's. Right now I max out at about 18mpg, totally stock. (just got the truck recently)
I will be doing the EGR delete, and SCT/DP Tuner custom tuning (econo & towing) nothing crazy. I intended on doing a cat/muffler delete or 4" turbo back strait. Is there any truth to the rumor I heard that opening up the exhaust will hurt MPG's on the 6.0? |

Opening up exhaust on these trucks always increases mileage over stock

That's what I expected so I was shocked to hear the opposite......

The only reason your mileage might go down is due to NOT being able to keep your foot out of the gas because it sounds soooooo good!

Well, I'm 34 years old, and I just got rid of the hot rodded 7.3 non daily driver..... This is my daily driver and I drive everywhere for my job. MPG's are important to me. Any mods I do I want to be solely for fuel mileage.

I think my cat was plugged a little, so I gained about 1 MPG.
