old style oil rails vs. new style
hey guys. i am going to be pulling the motor soon to fix my bedplate leak and do a couple of other things. i am wondering if it is worth the cost and hassle to upgrade to the newer style oil rails in the head? i would need new (used) heads to go with it as well. i know they are quieter while running. just wondering if its worth it or not.

I guess your talking about the oil rails on top of the head under the valve cover that feeds the injectors? If so I thought they were all the same..

With the mods you have listed in your sig, IMHO it's not worth the cost.

kurt, i plan on getting a powermax turbo, and 155 injectors. i guess i should have stated that in the first place. sorry. also, i am trying to get cash for your injectors as well. seeing as i didn't PM you back!

IF you dont have all the parts its not worth your time an effort. you'll need more then just oil rails. Id know lol
04.5 Rocker boxes 04.5 Oil rails 04.5 All the oil rail bolts 04.5 Branch Tube 04.5 Valve Covers 04.5 CCV 04.5 FICM Mounting Bracket STC fittings, stand tubes Think thats it. Might be missing something though |
