Can I swap a 03 or 04 ficm in my truck (05)

Hey guys would I have to do anything to put a 03 or 04 ficm in my truck without any trouble codes ore anything like that? Also would an 05 Ficm just bolt right in and everything be just fine? Or would custom tuning have to be applied?? Thanks guys...

Is it true that the ficms from the earlier years are a little "hotter" than the latter ones? Also a soft code... that means it wouldnt set a cel?

If you get an 03 FICM with the original flash on it yes thats true

As to the CEL question correct, soft codes dont set the light

I pulled out my Innovative reflashed '03 FICM, and installed a new style Swamp's modified FICM with no codes, or problems at all.
