sct excalibrator 2 question

Just ordered my first mod for my 06 F350 and after reading the sct website it says the excalibrator ships "blank" I purchased it through the rpm outlet online and was under the assumption the unit came preprogrammed. Am I wrong ? thanks for what may seem to be a stupid question

I am not sure about the RPM outlet. But, if you order one through LIPD, DJs or Innovative, once you get the tuner, they send you the tunes once they get the PCM codes or codes off of the SCT once you hook it up to the OBDII port. You will also need some gauges with that ASAP.

And to the ORG.

Welcome to Powerstroke.org

You need to get some kind of gauges to go with that SCT... It's not good to add a tuner, or chip, and not be able to monitor critical enigine parameters.

It is shipped "blank" because you need to read the strategies from the PCM. Then dealer will either email you, or yyou can mail the unit back and then have custom tunes installed for your truck. The SCT I got from Innovative has custom tune for my truck. Keith
