My friend just pick up a 05 powerstroke.. Tryin to tell him what the best chip/programer you can get.. anyone else wanna tell him????

Keep it Stock or have Deep pockets, the 6.0 is maxed out on HP.

To the O.P., Most will tell you a custom tuned SCT. I would say from Innovative Diesel. Now if your friend is simply looking for some simple and safe power, a canned tow tune would be cheaper and easier.

yea thats wat i have learned so far....for the most power go with the sct, but for safe and easy, a plug and play is ur best bet....Im lookin at edge...with the cst that way u get some gauges too...

People on the .Org, myself included despise edge TUNING. The GAUGES from edge are loved from sea to sea though. I personally would just get a cortex from superchips if you didn't need or want the expense of custom tunes since you get most of the features of the SCT.

wtf.......?? ummmmmmmm no

I'm a 7.3 guy so I don't have any good 6.0 advice for ya but pretty much every 6.0 pilot on the org will disagree with that guy

so wat about a max micro tuner by super chips?? thats wat im looking at i dont want nothing crazy, just a little more power and smoke....then the cst for gauges....

Yeah, all of the superchips tuning is the same, just different devices with different features and warranties. The performance tune they have is pretty good for the money, good power and nothing wild in the smoke department, just a nice puff till the boost comes up.

yea like i said, i dont want nothing crazy, coming from a 5cyl this is FAST....i just want to be able to at least out run the stock trucks...
