07 Blown HG

My cousin finds out today if his 07 has a blown HG or not. It's at the dealership. They already said they would install the black onyx HG and ARP studs. His biggest concern is if he needs to do an egr delete. If so, he is going to try to get the tech to do it if he buys the kit while the cab is off, (good luck with that). My biggest concern for him is if can't get the egr delete done, is it going to be ok to tune, or will he just run into problems? I told him he has to get gauges, and I'm assuming that the best tuner for the 6.0 is the SCT, but not sure which one. Should he get the live wire like I have on my 6.4 and take care of gauges and tuner in one? Any help and info is appreciated fellas.

I would recommend the live wire for tuning but not for gauges. From what I read on here they aren't very accurate. I think I may get the edge insight soon for gauges
