SCT Touch Extreme

Well, its been a while since I have been on. I have been swamped at work but a opportunity came knocking last night and I want your thoughts. I have a buddy looking to get a Edge CTS and he offered me his SCT Touch for a song. And i have been out of the loop and dont know a darn thing about them. I think its great that its wireless but some "expert" advice will be very appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I'll sing his heart out to get it for a song, lol. No they are great, there is no wireless issues, and with SCT you can get them custom tuned by whoever you want. Just make sure it is unmarried and has unlocks left. If it is married then it can not tune your truck and if it does not have unlocks left then you have to send it in to SCT and pay to get unlocks added.

If you buy the EGT probe. Check out MKM products they have the cheapest SCT EGT probe I could find, 89 bucks

Oh and basically everything else you want. The EOTs are off though and SCT has said they are working on an update to get them fixed.

I have one in my truck and it is nice. I got the EGT sensor from SCT it uses a firewire connection to the box that connects to your OBD port. Other than that no wires and lots of on screen info. Very easy to work with, it has to be though because the instructions that come with it suck as far as setting up your analog in points.

Well i just found out it has a prob and all I need t hook up for the egt. It'll be in my truck as soon as his edge cts gets here. The only ?? I have left is how many trucks can you have it hooked up to before you use up all the "unlocks"?
