Lets set the records straight, who has Banks and have you had problems ?

ok,
so there has been a ton of comments about banks both here and on the other forums.
now i am not trying to start anything nor am i wanting to talk trash or promote anybodys products.
i just want to know exactly what products you have if you have banks parts and if you have had any problems.
more specificly if you have the banks six gun, techni-cooler, high ram, ram air and either the monster or sport exhaust all on your truck.
i have bought all of the parts i just listed at a killer deal but recently been frustrated with all the talk from others.
are the people that are bad mouthing banks just running there six gun and none of the other products or does everyone have the banks whole kit ?

okay here the thing like you said banks yes is a very good and trusted product. the one thing people do not like about banks is that you can get a custom tuner and nonbrannd name stuff like banks for a hell of a lot lower price. you have to admit banks is pretty up there? anyway i ran the banks six gun with banks ram air and as well as the banks trans-command and and banks monster exhaust. at one time i had all that on at once. did not have any problem at all just thought there was more potential. took off six gun and ram air went to bully dog air intake and tony wildman chip and my truck has shown me a whole other side of it i love it! hope some of that helped

i have banks high ram and intercooler, no problems

Banks Six gun whole setup on 2004 6.0L auto...work truck... with just over 84000miles. Blew the motor, at part throttle the fuel level was going down to under 40psi and over the 10k miles the setup was on the truck it warpped the rods. Not to much on anything over their tow setting it would puke coolant all over the place.

I had it on my 96 blew the trans ECU IDM and the entire wiring harness all at once.

Like jonboy said, you can get more bang for your buck with other products.

the gist is, banks is overpriced and underpowered. dont have anything bad to say about banks, just lookin for the most bang for my buck.

We had Banks stuff on our old IDI. it was a great setup. Never had any of their other stuff on a PSD, but people I know have, and they said it was good. Some switched to some other products, SCT for one, and loved it mo betta though. Seems high pricing is Bank's downfall. Seems you can get the same or better performance for cheaper.

The consensus I've seen. Not trying to bash.. The hard parts, exhaust, intake elbow, technicooler are all made of good quality material. The fit and finish are good. The tuning is where there is a lot to be desired. Most of that comes down to vehicle specific tuning or one size fits all tuning.

you must be the one that beat me to that deal I was going to get it just for the high ram and intercooler, then sell the 6-gun. was this the $500 deal on CL? i thought i was gonna get me a steal on that one - hahaha
