SCT with Erics tune and lil smoke?
I just installed Erics street, Xstreet and tow tune on to my SCT and uploaded the street tune for now. I love the difference just with the street tune but see some light black smoke just on initial take off that was not there before. Is this normal or expected? Not looking to smoke people out but more curious as I havent seen it spit any smoke like this before.

Yeah... you can expect some smoke. Mine actually smoke quite a bit on the regular street tune to the point where I didn't like it. I now run just the tow tune as a daily driver and love it. Very little smoke but great power. I know a lot of guys love the black smoke but this was almost embarassing at intersections.

Ya I am not getting quite the much smoke and its not all that dark but I do notice it just when I accelerate from a complete stop and of course a lil when I give her some pedal.

What else do you have on your truck?
you should start a signature ![]() Eric's street tune smokes a tad bit for me. The smoke out put for me is not big enough to be a distraction but If I look I can see it |

I believe you can have eric tweak the tune to make it a lil less smokey for you

Not wanting to smoke people out is one reason why I haven't tuned my '06 yet. I'd like to increase the truck's power, but I'm not interested in looking like a steam locomotive going down the road. Maybe a tuner plus a reprogramed FICM will accomplish what I'm looking for, who knows.

The Street is our highest power program with as much smoke control as possible. You may see a little puff of smoke, but almost not noticable. Even the DPF trucks can puff a little.
The Xtreme programs are built for power. It'll smoke until the turbo spools, if you throw the pedal down quickly. It's really nothing crazy, but noticable. You can definitely drive it daily almost smoke free, without even trying. Once the turbo spools, it should be a light gray haze. In the hot humid weather or high altitude, you'll have slightly more smoke. The programs are built for safety first and power is secondary. |

Thank you Innovative. I am not getting a lot of smoke but enough just from take off to see and small cloud of grey and wanted to make sure. It was pretty humid in SoCal yesterday so like you said that played a part.
Love the power I have just from the STREET tune thanks again. |

How many horses torgue does the Xtreme street and the STREET add? I see what you should or could be getting but curious what the stock numbers are then how much is added.

I believe the hotest file dyno was like 400-420hp on a stock truck, on a milder tune probably just below 400
