Exhaust question

If I gut my cat and put it back on, will it throw any sensors off or make check engine light come on ? Should I just buy a straight pipe exhaust or will removing the stock exhaust put my truck out of wack ?

gut it if you dont have to pay anything for it. Wont throw and sensors or CEL's. However in my neck of the woods (oregon) my exhaust shop has done my last 5 of my trucks for 80 bucks to hack out my cat and muff then slip a piece of pipe in both the locations. Might check to see if that might be a better route.

it wont be out of wack.. but a 4" straight pipe exhaust would sound soo much better.....
