Air Intake or Exhaust ?

I want to do a little mod to my truck to make it breathe better. I like it stock but I want to know if I should get a air intake kit or exhaust ? Which of the two will I get my money's worth ?

I would get an exhaust first. From what i hear the factory intake is the best unless your north of 500hp.

yeah the factory filter gets out more dirt. You dont need a different one unless your over 500hp. the exhaust should help with the power or at least the sound.

Factory intake is definitely not the best for hp/mpg/cost overall

But it definitely IS THE BEST for filtering.

I personally have the K&N cold air intake system and it helped me out but it will let some of the smaller particles into your system.

But I agree with the option of getting an exhaust first. Not only will it net you hp/tq/mpg but it will also drop your EGTs a substantial amount.
