CTS Insight

Hey all, I just finished my install of my CTS Insight, and it is a pretty good little machine. The only problem I have with it is that the '03 6.0 does not have many capablitlies through the OBDII or that's what Edge told me. Here are some pictures, and if anyone has a 2003 6.0 with an insight I would like to know what gauges you are running through it. I would also like to thank Adam at FCDP, he has been awesome. That looks badazz Kenny! Did you have to drill a huge hole for the cables? I just ordered mine

Ya, I love the USA!!! But as far as drilling, the only thing I needed to drill was the plastic plate coming from the engine compartment to the cab. Other than that it was a breeze. I saw you ordered yours, that is going to be awesome in your truck.

How long did it take to install? Did you have your manifold already drilled for the EGT probe?

I didn't have it drilled/tapped before, but that took me about an hour. But the wires, and inside install only took about 45 minutes, but I was taking it pretty slow texting Jeffrey and all.

Cool, mines already drilled, tapped and has the bung threaded in . Jeffrey can be annoying when you're working on a vehicle

Do you know what PIDs aren't available for '03 6.0's. Are the '03 & '04's essentially the same (same PCM?)? I just rec'd my CTS Insight, but haven't installed yet...truck is in the shop due to bad injector and haven't had a chance to try it out yet.

I'm curious what you aren't able to see with the Insight on your 03 too Kenneth?

I have an early 04 and have a lot less options to watch than I expected as well.
No trans temp
No engine oil temp
No voltage output
No boost.

It doesn't read my vin number either. I even put it back to factory tune with the sct to see if that would make a difference and it didn't.

I sent them an email asking what all I should be able to see. If this is all I get, I'll be sending it back.

I'd send it back too! I really bought mine for monitoring the ECT and EOT delta

You guys are better off with a 4 gauge pod. Trans, boost, ECT and EOT, and then one more for EGT's
