Tune Question
I'm running Eric's tunes on a SCT...float between the Extreme Tow, Street & Extreme Street. I've got 4.56 gears and 37" Toyos and when I program my Ex with the Livewire, I adjust those settings accordingly. The thing runs GREAT for a few days...shifts perfectly. Then a few days or a week later, at normal speeds, it seems to bog down not wanting to downshift while lightly accelerating, and smokes like a chimney. Then if I get on it, it will finally downshift while farting out 10,000 dinosaurs. I reload the tune and back to great...no smoke and shifts perfectly. All three tunes do the same thing.
What am I doing wrong here?

Have Eric write files with the proper gearset and tire size. The 5r110 learns your driving style and adjusts shifts accordingly unless that info is pre programmed into the tunes themselves.
The other option is to vary your driving style regularly |

Ok, thanks Dave!

Dave is 100% correct, just in case you thought you might need a second opinion.

Cool! Thanks Snake!

You could just program the correct Revs Per Mile and Gear Setting with the SCT, correct? That's what I always do!

The thing is unless its actually written into the file itself. The 5r110 learns your driving style and adapts trans parameters too it. It still does it to an extent if its written directly into the file as well. But its not near as bad if you adjust it manually |

Okay, well I have the correct RPM's and gears written into my tune, but I also adjust it on my SCT. Is this okay?
