SCT Livewire Best place to get it from?

Hey guys let me know who you think has the best tunes for a SCT Livewire, I want it primarily to help with towing. Who should I go to get it and what kind of tunes should I ask for. Is the Livewire removable so I can take it to a dealer?

I would go with the livewire it is very problematic. everyone we sent out has been returned with screen issues and no one person was happy witht the products looks or functions.

That's my big question on any of the tuners. I've heard that the dealerships in my area are real tough about stuff like that.

So, is it possible to remove the tuner and reprogam everything to stock without leaving ANY evidence that a tuner had been there?

The Livewire is very nice and has many performance options. As with all new products, it has had it's share of issues which SCT has been diligently correcting as they arise. For someone who is going take advantage of all the performance options, it's a neat piece of equipment.

The Livewire can monitor 6 parameters at once on its own screen. 2 of
these can be analog inputs. You would monitor things such as trans
temp, and rpm through the computer. Things like EGT and Boost, you
would need analog inputs for. It all depends on what the factory
computer was set up to monitor on its own.

The egt probe is expected to be released in the next couple of weeks and is estimated to cost $100-$200. We have sold a few Livewires, always advising the customers of pending issues but have not had any returned or defective to-date.

If you will not be needing or using the gauges and performance options, your best bet is an Xcal2.

Thanks,
Vivian

P.S. The link to a post about it that Abrannan19 listed will have a reply from SCT about how most of the issues mentioned have already been addressed and corrected.

No tuner will completely erase evidence that it was in the truck, however, it is not a procedure that Ford trains it's techs to search for. In order for the tech to know how to do it, he had to have played with the tools Ford offers to learn on his own.

Personally, I only know of one tech who can tell.

Thanks,
Vivian

I know that guy too. LOL
He showed me how it's done...though people still believe it can't be traced.
