6.0 Performance

I have the SCT Xcal2 on my 6.0 it supposely has custom tune one it, its set on performance right now. i have a 5" exhaust stock size downpipe i just adapted the 5" from stock where the cat is suppose to be, i have a stock intake on my truck and it doesnt seem to run as good as the other 6.0's any suggestions pointers tips? anything would be of help thanks!

Get a new custom tune for your truck.

Dig into what tune you have. SCT file or custom tune. YOU WILL KNOW! My weakest tune will tear the tires off at just about any time. I would have someone build you some good tunes. Since you have an SCT 2, I would get a street and a tow. If you can get an SCT 3, you can get a street, tow, and an extreem tune.

Get some good tunes on her and go mess with your Camero buddies.

First off, what or rather who wrote the custom tune? I would try to figure that one out first. Then I would listen to the turbo, can you hear the vanes switching between open and closed?

i bought the programmer and the guy said it was custom tuned idk anything about it. i dont know how to tell the sound of the vanes? im new at 6.0 stuff i had a 7.3 forever

He can erase that one tune, and replace it with 3 new ones on the Xcal2.

You don't have to have a SCT X3 for Extreme Tunes.

if you have a x2 you shouldnt be able to run the previous owers tunes unless you have the same stat as him. Get some custom tunes to your truck and maybe that will help. Good luck man

I think the previous owner of the tuner was also the previous owner of the truck.
