Programmer?

Ok guys ,, I should be getting my truck back soon! Im getting the EGR delete and heat exchanger etc done and studs! I still am not going to go crazy with HP though, its a daily driver and use it for pulling quite a bit! I need some opinions on a programmer? Of course I need some sort of gauges too! Should I A. Get a set of analog gauges on a pillar and a SCT programmer. B. Get the sct with a edge insight? Or get that Edge CTS thing which looks pretty darn cool? Please , voice your opinions! I need some advise here!!!

Definately go with the SCT and custom tunes. As far as gauges, it's whatever you like best. I'm not big on the digital gauges like the Edge Insight but it works good. I wanted something that looked factory so I went with 4 DiPricol Optix gauges on the pillar and they match the factory dash lights perfect.

SCT X3 with tunes for sure. You really can't beeat the Edge for monitoring what's going on. Way more information available with the Insight than if you spend similar $ on analog gauges. Just having EOT and ECT available is an advantage as far as I'm concerned. But it's really a matter of taste. I actually run the Insight and 3 additional Autometer GS series analog gauges.

Thanks guys,, I guess taste is the main thing! I like that the edge insight allows you to check for codes,, doesnt the SCT do that as well? And does SCT have a touch screen unit out there? Not the livewire, the other thing, I was looking at that too!

Yeah SCT has the TSX out now.

If you are deleting the EGR you need the SCT otherwise the truck will set low egr flow codes
