EDGE INSIGHT

I have remove my Banks speed loader and pda from my 06 250 and going to put gauges and tunes from Innovative on the truck. To be honest, I do not know much about the Edge Insight but hear alot about it. Would the Edge be better for the monitoring or should just stick with the gauges? The pictures of the Edge look clean on the piliar compared to the gauges, but I would rather have function and reliability over looks. Any input or thoughts would be greatly appreciated, Thanks Ed.

Then you definitely want the Insight. To match the functionality with gauges your interior would look like the c0ckpit of a 747. (I hate this nasty word editor e.g. ****pit)

For the range of gauges the insight has and that it is electric, it is worth the money and cheaper than buying a set of gauges.

Are you guys saying that I can monitor more than one thing at time? With my Banks, I could read 4- Egt,Eot,Trans and Boost at a time, but it was a PITA to change the screens or pull up codes! If this is right, thats the way i'm going!

yes, you can set up to 4 different screens with up to 6 pids at once, then you can use the up/down arrow to flip thru them. codes are easy to pull and delete.

Plus it keeps your OBDII DLC port covered so dirt doesn't get in there. lol Seriously...it's a great product hands down...I will only part with it when Edge comes out with a more advanced version with color display. Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums - MoyockPowerstroke's Album: Edge Insight install

It's A good System, installs easy and is very accurate in my eyes. You can also set warnings levels for five different temps. The only thing that may not come with the module is the egt probe for the system. It is system specific to the Insight system.

With my eyes I can only use the 4 parameter screen setup but you can have up to 4 different screens and roll through them with a touch of the up or down arrows. It couldn't be any easier. Plus all you have to do is plug it in to the OBDII port. How sweet is that?
