Be honest....

Is the .ORG biased to SCT for some reason or what? I am extremely close to buying a tuner and am having trouble making the final decision.

If I do go SCT (most likely will), I still don't know if I want the Livewire or the Xcal 2. Is the Livewire worth the extra 250?

Finally, I know this will draw some different answers, but who has a better reputation for their custom tunes as far safety/performance.

Basically, I just need some reassurance here, bump me over the edge and make me buy one!

If there is any bias, it is based on the outstanding performance most SCT users experiance.
This is strictly a spectators point of view as I do not use an SCT because of its lack of on the fly switchabilty.

The custom SCT's can control your transmission far better than anything on the market, and the power level is what everyone else wish's they could achieve.

There is nothing wrong with Edge, but the SCT will out perform it. It really depends on what you are looking to achieve.

I would say 8 out of 10 6.0L power adders we sell are custom SCT's.

I don't understand those that just HAVE to have adjust on the fly capabilities.
Why ?
Every time you switch your Bully Dog, Edge, etc...which have no trans controls BTW...the trans goes through it's learning crap again...causing erratic shifts among other issues.
The SCT is the only tuner on the market that accesses the TCM to truly control the tranny....it IS the safest tuner on the market...period.
The fact that it can also be the most powerfull is just a bonus.
Remember...you already have "shift on the fly" ability...it's called your right foot.

Now...before an Edge lover says their Platinum has trany controls. NO...it does not. If has fake controls...not real controls.
I know, I know..."but it does this..or does that"..sure...but does it plug in to the frontmost plug on the PCM? Nope....wanna guess what that plug is ?
Yep...the Transmission Control Module.

The best thing you can do...is pass on any box, tuner, etc that has the word "defuel" listed on it anywhere. A properly tuned trans doesn't need to be defueled to make it last.
With an SCT....there's a ton of us that tow up to 10K on all-out race files....some of us with big injectors, turbos etc.
No need to switch to a lower power level...just respect your EGT's and don't race Vette's up mountains while towing and there's a 99% chance you'll be fine for a lot of miles.....course there's always that 1% chance you'll blow it all to hell on the first day. LOL

In my opinion this is a true statement, BUT there are people out there that only want a little pick me up for sunday driving. Believe it or not we sell alot of the Quadzilla 65 hp modules to guys that want to gain a few mpg. They dont want the big power, they dont want the smoke. I know, I know, who could these people be? I've never done a survey, but they are out there. That is why I leave that option open.

Our church is a new church that meets every week in a profesional building in town. Every sunday two trailers full of equipment have to be hauled to this building and setup before church, and every sunday on an extreme race file from Innovative Diesel I smoke the crap out of an 06 Toyota Tundra while pulling a 8k pound trailer. Tire smoke, exhaust smoke, and free coffee is how I start my sunday mornings. He keeps telling me when Toyota gets a diesel I will have to buy the coffee......I aint skeered!
