Ok, so I am sold on the SCT but has anyone tried custom tunes from more than one vendor/person? Any favorites or testimonials/dyno sheets?

As far as gauges go I decided on the quadzilla commander for my monitor. One reason is because I wanted digital read outs and I too wanted to keep my OS handle. There is a nice little pod mount for the commander that lets you keep your handle and all of your readings are nice and compact together. The pillar-full-of-gauges wasn't my cup-o-tea.

I haven't gotten mine yet (still waiting on Pat to pm or call me back....Hint Hint ) but there is a write up about it, with pictures, on the site somewhere.

Is the SCT the only tuner that "adjusts" the tranny as well as the motor? TIA

I have found it's best just to call Patrick or Larry. They will respond to you eventually, but it's best to initiate the call yourself. That way they can't hide from you!

I know everybody is crazy about the Quadzilla Commander, but have you considered the MSD DashHawk? It is the same thing as the Edge Attitude except it doesn't work through a programmer. The Quad requires you to tap a whole bunch of wires with scothloks. I hate those things! The DashHawk to the best of my knowledge just plugs into the PCM and actually monitors more parameters.

The DashHawk is fairly new and I have been waiting to hear opinions on it, but it is exactly the same as the Edge Attitude monitor so it should be fine.

Patrick told me that Larry has a DashHawk in a Mazda car, but didn't have any experience with one in a diesel. Guys, this unit is made by Edge and for all intents and purposes is the Edge Attitude monitor in as a stand alone unit. The Attitude will not work without the Juice module, but the DashHawk will.

From the research that I have done, this baby is capable of giving you a readout on every single parameter that the PCM monitors right down to barometric pressure. Trans slip, ambient temp, oil temp, coolant temp, oil pressure, etc., it does it all with no wire tapping necessary. The EGT probe would be the only thing that you need to manually install.

I think this thing is the ticket, I would just like to speak with someone who has used one first!

Yup from what i read the Dashhawk is basically the Attitude monitor, makes sense MSD is Edge's parent company If the make the dashhawk like the A2 with the GPS capability too im all over it
