Where to start moding?

I'm not looking to build a 1/4 mile track star.

Just improve my daily driver/camper puller.

Sounds like the first thing to do to my 2004 F350 Turbo Diesel is block the EGR. This seems almost a requirement.

Maybe next a methanol/water injector.

Any suggestions?

On the EGR del I took my cooler off and weled a plug in each end with the mig. I would also drill the fuel banjo fittings out on the heads.

Thanks. The previous owner tells me the head gaskets were replaced on a Ford recall. I'll have to ask if the studs were replaced too.

I've found an EGR plug on Ebay. I basically looks the business end of an EGR valve with fasteners to bolt it in.

It closes the EGR permanently so it can never open.

I'm wondering if that would work. Looks like lots of high dollar high tech kits out there. Why?

Here's the link, I was on another computer earlier.

i wouldn't really recommend the water/meth i haven't had the greatest experience with it, its fine if you just run water but if you put the big sprayers in it and start running the methanol thats when your gonna start to have problems especially if you aren't studded just my .02
